Brown Trout VS Kokanee

While performing Kokanee Salmon counts on a local river, I witnessed something quite amazing! An angry brown trout trying to consume a kokanee!! Check this out!

Trout Trio

I want to introduce you to a well know fly fishing area that I spent much of my summer fishing, it was a place where I didn’t think I could catch big fish or even numbers of fish, but I was introduced to a body of water where I learned alot about trout and fly fishing. The Logan River, located in northern Utah, is home to a large population of Bonneville cutthroat trout. These fish are native to the Logan River. There are also two additional trout species, the brown trout and the brook trout. As you can guess browns and brookies are not native, but thrive in this river. You could say there is the trout trio in the Logan River!

Moonlight Madness

Over the past several weeks Cody and I have had the skunk in everything we have tried, which has not been the most enjoyable in the pursuit of fish and game. This day started out like any other sitting in class talking with some fishing buddies, next thing you know a pictures is shown to me of a huge lake trout, in a new water I have not yet tried with on the fly! That was the beginning of the madness. Could we get rid of the skunk today!
